Vasudeva named head of ONGC of India

Sudhir Vasudeva has been named chairman and managing director (CMD) of state-owned Oil & Natural Gas Corp. of India.

Sudhir Vasudeva has been named chairman and managing director (CMD) of state-owned Oil & Natural Gas Corp. of India. An ONGC employee since 1976, he most recently has been director (offshore). A.K. Hazarika, director of onshore and exploration at ONGC, had been acting CMD since the Jan. 1 retirement of R.S. Sharma.
