Technip, NPCC JV wins $500 million contract in Abu Dhabi

Technip, in partnership with the National Petroleum Construction Co (NPCC), received a $500 million contract for the Satah Full Field Development 200 km northwest of Abu Dhabi.

Technip, in partnership with the National Petroleum Construction Co (NPCC), received a $500 million contract for the Satah Full Field Development 200 km northwest of Abu Dhabi.

The contract, awarded by Zakum Development Co, comprises procurement and construction of equipment to help maximize crude oil and oil recovery production.

In particular, the project’s objective is to maximize oil production and oil recovery by reducing wellhead back pressure along with introducing gas injection and gas lift facilities.

The project scope involves installation of new facilities at the onshore Satah plant at Zirku Island.

Technip will execute the engineering and procurement activities while NPCC will handle construction and installation activities for offshore works. Onshore construction activities will be carried out jointly by Technip and NPCC.
