Colorado: Quicksilver pursues Sand Wash Niobrara

By OGJ editors

Quicksilver Resources Inc., Fort Worth, has drilled three vertical wells on Niobrara prospects in the Sand Wash basin of northwestern Colorado and will start completion later in August.

The company holds 210,000 net acres prospective for Niobrara oil and expects to drill 8-14 wells this year. Quicksilver is still adding to its acreage position, in Moffat and Routt counties and mostly in the oil window of the play.
