HOUSTON, July 18
– 3Legs Resources PLC has spudded Warblino LE-1H, its fourth well seeking shale gas in Poland and the country’s second horizontal well to be drilled for shale gas.

The well, on the Damnica license 25 km west of the company’s Lebien LE-2H horizontal well on the Lebork license, is to be drilled vertically, cored, and logged, and then horizontally drilled in Lower Paleozoic shales in the Baltic basin.

3Legs Resources holds six licenses totaling 1.084 million acres with targets in Silurian and Ordovician organic rich black shales in Poland. The company also has onshore exploration licenses near Krakow in southern Poland and in Baden-Württemberg in southwestern Germany.
