HOUSTON, July 13 – Petrolympic Ltd., Toronto, will attempt completion of a Maverick basin well in the Georgetown formation on the Chittim Ranch as part of an earn-in agreement with Texas HBP and Shell Western E&P Inc.
Cores from the 80-2v appraisal well on the Chittim Ranch property revealed oil shows in at least three oil-bearing horizons including Georgetown. Petrolympic has perforated two zones in Georgetown, plans to perforate more zones, and expects a stimulation crew to arrive by the end of July. The well penetrated seven oil and gas-bearing horizons while drilling, the company said.
Petrolympic is attempting to earn a 50% working interest in the property.
