Indonesia: Mirach to redevelop Kampung Minyak

Mirach Energy Ltd., Singapore, signed a 15-year joint operating agreement with Pertamina to redevelop Kampung Minyak oil field in South Sumatra, Indonesia.

– Mirach Energy Ltd., Singapore, signed a 15-year joint operating agreement with Pertamina to redevelop Kampung Minyak oil field in South Sumatra, Indonesia.

Mirach Energy let a contract to Daqing Enterprise International, a subsidiary of PetroChina Daqing Oilfield Co. Ltd., to provide engineering, drilling, and field operation services including waterflooding. Pertamina estimated the field, discovered in the late 1800s and covering 17 sq miles, has 65 million bbl of remaining oil in place at 200-500 m.

Mirach and DQE intend to boost production to 400, 700, and 1,000 b/d by the end of the first, second, and third years from the present 80 b/d. Mirach also has interests in the Kamundan block and Wiriagar oil field in Papua, eastern Indonesia.
