HOUSTON, July 18
-- Jubilant Energy NV, Amsterdam, completed the pilot acquisition of 16 line-km of seismic data on the northern Manipur block awarded in late 2010 in northeastern India.

The company shot the survey to gain information on logistics and geophysical parameters in a geographically challenging area in advance of the main seismic surveys of 154 line-km in the northern block and 432 line-km in the southern block. Those shoots are set for the next dry season after October 2011.

The minimum work commitment totaling 1,000 line-km on both blocks is to be completed by November 2014.

Jubilant is the operator and holds 100% participating interest in the two blocks, awarded under the NELP-VIII round. Petroleum exploration licenses were signed on Nov. 15, 2010.
