Dana Petroleum to add water injection line at UK Triton field

Dana Petroleum (E&P) Ltd. let a $50 million subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines contract to Subsea 7 SA for work at Triton field in the Greater Guillemot area (Blocks: 21/24a, 21/29a, 21/29b, 21/25, 21/30, 21/23, 29/1a and 29/1b) of the UK North Sea.

HOUSTON, June 3
-- Dana Petroleum (E&P) Ltd. let a $50 million subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines contract to Subsea 7 SA for work at Triton field in the Greater Guillemot area (Blocks: 21/24a, 21/29a, 21/29b, 21/25, 21/30, 21/23, 29/1a and 29/1b) of the UK North Sea.

The contract includes engineering, fabrication, and installation of a 25 km, 10-in. water injection line, 16-km static umbilical, and umbilical riser base, together with tie-ins, testing and precommissioning.

Subsea 7 said that it had commenced engineering work in Aberdeen and expects to do the offshore installation in this year’s second half.

Dana Petroleum acquired its interest in Guillemot area fields from Suncor Energy Inc. (OGJ, Sept. 10, 2010, Newsletter). The fields tie into the Hess Corp. operated Triton floating, production, and storage vessel.

Dana Petroleum is a subsidiary of Korea National Oil Corp.
