HOUSTON, June 16 -- CAMAC Energy Inc., Houston, has spud the ZJS-04 coalbed methane well in the Ordos basin in China’s Shanxi Province, where the company holds 175,000 acres with PetroChina CBM Co.
Drilling time is 50 days to 5,900 ft. Current depth is 2,630 ft. Mud logs at the first well, ZJS-03, identified 8 m of gas-bearing interval at 1,489-1,515 m (OGJ Online, May 12, 2011).
