Utah: Anadarko maximizes Natural Buttes gas output

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. said its gross production in Greater Natural Buttes field in Utah’s Uinta basin set a single-day record of 456 MMcfd of gross gas production in the quarter ended Mar. 31.

HOUSTON, May 3
– Anadarko Petroleum Corp. said its gross production in Greater Natural Buttes field in Utah’s Uinta basin set a single-day record of 456 MMcfd of gross gas production in the quarter ended Mar. 31.

Overall sales were 15% higher in the quarter than in the first quarter of 2010. Anadarko is the largest producer in the field.

The company operated seven rigs and drilled 69 wells in the quarter. Eleven Mesaverde development wells were completed in the deeper Blackhawk interval with incremental estimated ultimate recoveries of 700 MMcf/well at an estimated incremental development cost of 42¢/Mcf equivalent.
