HOUSTON, May 25 – Lundin Petroleum AB and Marathon Petroleum Norge AS will each take farmouts from RWE Dea Norge AS to earn 30% interests in PL330 in the northern Norwegian Sea off Norway.
PL330 covers 740 sq km and comprises blocks 6608/1 & 2. It is in an underexplored part of the Norwegian Sea where structures with significant hydrocarbon potential have been identified, Lundin Petroleum said.
RWE Dea is the operator of the license with a 40% interest. The transaction is subject to approval by the Norwegian government.
