HOUSTON, May 19
-- Solimar Energy Ltd., Melbourne, will begin tests this week of three sandstones at the 76-33 well just west of Guijarral Hills field in Fresno County, Calif.

The company will test Eocene Lower Gatchell at 10,370-380 ft, Eocene Lower Avenal at 9,963-82 ft, and Miocene Leda at 8,533-40 ft. Each zone had increased hydrocarbon shows while drilling and anomalies on logs.

The well indicated more than 135 ft of potential net pay in six zones. The three selected are those deemed most likely to provide a definitive series of tests, Solimar said.

Solimar Energy LLC is operator of the well with 35% working interest, and Neon Energy Ltd. has 15%.
