HOUSTON, May 10
– The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation has issued air quality permits to Buccaneer Energy Ltd., Sydney, for four drilling locations in Cook Inlet off Alaska.

Two locations are in the Southern Cross Unit on trend with Middle Ground Shoal field and two are in the North West Cook Inlet Unit on the northwest flank of North Cook Inlet gas field.

Buccaneer said the air quality permits, taking at least 180 days to obtain, are the longest lead time permits needed for the projects.
