HOUSTON, Apr. 28 – Shareholders of UNX Energy Corp., Calgary, completed a merger with HRT Participacoes em Petroleo SA, Rio de Janeiro.
Closing is expected on Apr. 29. Both firms hold blocks in the Atlantic off Namibia.
UNX Energy holds a net 32,000 sq km of offshore strategically located along the South Atlantic margin. HRT operates five exploratory blocks on the Namibian coast. It has 100% interest in two blocks in the Walvis subbasin and 40% interest in three blocks in the Orange subbasin.
