HOUSTON, Apr. 20 -- Donggi-Senoro LNG, a 2 million tonne/year export project, will receive a propane precooled mixed refrigerant process and MCR main heat exchanger from a partnership between licensor Air Products, Lehigh Valley, Pa., and JGC Corp.
The project, planned for Luwuk, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, is a joint venture among Indonesia's state oil and gas company Pertamina, Mitsubishi Corp., Korea Gas Corp., and PT Medco Energi Internasional. Project start-up targets 2014.
Donggi-Senoro plant will use the region's gas fields in the Senoro-Toili Block and the Matindok Area to feed gas to what will be the fourth Indonesian LNG project. PT Arun and PT Badak started up in the late 1970s; Tangguh LNG began operations in 2009 (OGJ, Aug. 10, 2009, p. 38). Air Products' LNG technology has been involved with all four projects, according to the company’s announcement.
Most of the world’s LNG is produced with Air Products' technology. The company has designed, manufactured, and exported more than 80 LNG heat exchangers for projects in 15 countries over the last 4 decades.
