HOUSTON, Mar. 24
– Consulting engineers estimated a combined total of more than 1 billion bbl of oil in place on three prospects on the Bouhajla permit onshore central Tunisia, said DualEx Energy International Inc., Calgary.

DualEx owns 100% contractor interest in the permit, which covers 105,000 acres in the Pelagian basin just west of Sidi el Kilani oil field, which has produced 48 million bbl of light oil from Cretaceous Abiod.

The company’s operational focus remains the Bouhajla North prospect, as it is a close analog to Sidi el Kilani. DualEx is evaluating bids for a proposed 3D seismic survey at Bouhajla North.
