– Ramba Energy Ltd., Singapore, will drill the first prospect on the Lemang block in South Sumatra this August.

Akatara-1 aims at a 37.4 million bbl gross mean prospective resource. Budgeted at $10 million, the well is to intersect four closures with areal extents of 23-25 sq km.

A Ramba affiliate operates the 3,890 sq km PSC in the Jambi subbasin with 41% interest. The block, just north of the PetroChina-operated Jabung block, has six drill-ready prospects and 21 leads.
