Gastech: European storage operator awards system contract

TAQA Energy BV, a unit of Abu Dhabi National Energy Co., has awarded a contract to Noble Denton for a gas management commercial dispatching system to be used at TAQA’s Bergermeer gas storage site near Alkmaar, the Netherlands.

-- TAQA Energy BV, a unit of Abu Dhabi National Energy Co., has awarded a contract to Noble Denton for a gas management commercial dispatching system to be used at TAQA’s Bergermeer gas storage site near Alkmaar, the Netherlands.

According to Noble Denton’s announcement at the 25th meeting of Gastech Mar. 21 in Amsterdam, the Bergermeer site will become Europe's largest third-party access underground gas storage with more than 4 billion cu m of seasonal gas storage capacity when opens 2013.

GL Noble Denton's system will provide an information and communication platform to manage third-party contracts.

The announcement said that, using Access Manager's Rules Engine, TAQA will be able to implement new business processes, as well as implement and model rules for the storage site.
