HOUSTON, Mar. 29
– TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Co. will reprocess more than 13,550 km of 2D multiclient seismic data in Faroe Islands waters of the North Atlantic between the UK and Iceland.

Data will be available for clients in the third quarter of 2011. The project, designated Offshore Faroe Reprocessing 2011, will extend to the UK-Faroe border.

Faroese Earth & Energy Directorate (Jardfeingi) has made the data available for reprocessing. TGS will apply advanced processing techniques proven to have been successful in illuminating subbasalt plays in the West of Shetland region over the last 2 years.
