HOUSTON, Jan. 11
– TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd., Dallas, is awaiting the availability of coiled tubing units to clean out and install tubing in the Kepirtepe-1 and Habiller-2R wells in the Thrace basin of Turkey.

The company fractured stimulated the two wells in the Oligocene Mezardere and Eocene Hamitabat formations in the fourth quarter of 2010 and said it was pleased with how the jobs were pumped (OGJ, Oct. 4, 2010, p. 56).

Once it cleans out the wells and runs tubing, the company should be in a position to flow the wells for an extended period. TransAtlantic expects to move towards multistage fracture stimulation jobs and commercial production in 2011.
