  Oil prices rose Nov. 10 with crude temporarily climbing above $98/bbl in the New York market following a better-than-expected US weekly job report and encouraging political developments within the Euro-zone.
• 11/11/2011 -- Pembina to expand Montney shale NGL pipeline capacity
  Pembina Pipeline Corp. will install five new pump stations and upgrade five existing pump stations to expand NGL throughput capacity on its Peace and Northern Pipelines (together the Northern NGL System) by 55,000 b/d to accommodate increased field liquids extraction by producers in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

  San Leon Energy PLC has spudded the Siciny-2 stratigraphic test on the company’s 100% owned Gora concession 70 km southeast of Zielona Gora, Poland.
• 11/10/2011 -- State Department delays Keystone XL decision until 2013
  In a move that will delay a decision on the Keystone XL pipeline until at least the first quarter of 2013, the US Department of State will study an alternate route for the important project to connect the oil sands region of Alberta with high-conversion refineries on the Texas Gulf Coast.
• 11/10/2011 -- Shale gas subcommittee reviews industry, government progress
  The US natural gas industry is working to ensure shale gas is produced in an environmentally safe manner and is working to disclose information that can help minimize public opposition toward shale development, an advisory committee to government said.
• 11/09/2011 -- State Department IG's office to review Keystone XL permit process
  The US Department of State’s inspector general’s office will conduct a special review of DOS’s handling of the environmental impact statement and national interest determination for TransCanada Corp.’s proposed Keystone XL crude oil pipeline project.
• 11/09/2011 -- Potential oil, products exports drive Texas Gulf Coast terminal projects
  Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP, Oiltanking Partners LP, and GT Logistics LLC all announced new liquids terminal projects on the Texas Gulf Coast, with GTL explicitly citing possible crude oil exports in describing its facility.
• 11/09/2011 -- Oklahoma: Haskell Woodford project deemphasized
  Evolution Petroleum Corp., Houston, will continue its lower emphasis on a mid-depth Woodford shale gas project in eastern Oklahoma until natural gas prices enable it to achieve targeted economics.
• 11/08/2011 -- Linn Energy to buy Granite Wash oil, gas assets for $600 million
  Linn Energy LLC agreed to acquire US Midcontinent oil and natural gas assets from Plains Exploration & Production Co. for $600 million. The acquisition will double Linn’s inventory of Granite Wash horizontal drilling sites in Texas and Oklahoma to more than 400.
• 11/04/2011 -- API: US support strong for importing more Canadian crude
  A survey found 79% of 924 US registered voters support importing more crude oil from Canada, the American Petroleum Institute announced.
