  • 11/11/2011 -- Pembina to expand Montney shale NGL pipeline capacity
    Pembina Pipeline Corp. will install five new pump stations and upgrade five existing pump stations to expand NGL throughput capacity on its Peace and Northern Pipelines (together the Northern NGL System) by 55,000 b/d to accommodate increased field liquids extraction by producers in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

    In a move that will delay a decision on the Keystone XL pipeline until at least the first quarter of 2013, the US Department of State will study an alternate route for the important project to connect the oil sands region of Alberta with high-conversion refineries on the Texas Gulf Coast.

  • 11/08/2011 -- Linn Energy to buy Granite Wash oil, gas assets for $600 million
    Linn Energy LLC agreed to acquire US Midcontinent oil and natural gas assets from Plains Exploration & Production Co. for $600 million. The acquisition will double Linn’s inventory of Granite Wash horizontal drilling sites in Texas and Oklahoma to more than 400.
