    Petrominerales Ltd. has agreed to acquire a 5% stake in Colombia’s 830-km Oleoducto Central SA (Ocensa) crude oil pipeline from Total E&P Holdings for $281 million.
  • 06/17/2011 -- PHMSA advances control room regulation's effective date
    A final rule to improve training, reduce fatigue, and clearly define roles and responsibilities for control room employees of federally regulated pipelines will go into effect 16 months ahead of schedule, the US Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration said on June 15.

    In a move to create one of the largest consolidated natural gas pipeline companies in the US, Dallas-based Energy Transfer Equity LP (ETE) entered into a merger agreement with Southern Union Co. to acquire the Houston-based gas transportation, storage, and gathering company for $7.9 billion.

    Dunkerque LNG, a subsidiary of Electricite de France SA (EDF), has awarded Sener Ingenieria y Sistemas an engineering, procurement, and construction contract to develop a regasification terminal in Dunkerque in northern France.

    DCP Midstream will acquire the Seaway Products Pipeline Co. from ConocoPhillips, rename it the Southern Hills Pipeline, and convert it from refined products service to NGL service covering the more than 700 miles between NGL market hubs at Conway, Kan., and Mont Belvieu, Tex.
  • 06/08/2011 -- Total to sell stake in Norway's Gassled joint venture
    Total SA said it has agreed to sell its entire 6.4% stake in Gassled joint venture, the Norwegian Gas Transportation Network, and related entities to Silex Gas Norway AS, a unit of German insurer Allianz SE, for 4.64 billion kroner ($870 million).
