    The Delaware River Basin Commission postponed a special meeting scheduled for Nov. 21 which was to consider revised draft natural gas development regulations.
  • 11/21/2011 -- Indonesia: Statoil, Niko get eastern frontier licenses
    Statoil has been awarded operatorship with 80% working interest in the Halmahera II frontier exploration block covering more than 8,000 sq km in eastern Indonesia.
  • 11/18/2011 -- Morocco: Perth firm to operate deepwater block
    Pura Vida Energy NL, Perth, has acquired a 75% interest and is operator of the Mazagan block in the Atlantic off Essaouira, Morocco.
  • 11/18/2011 -- Suriname: Statoil joins Tullow on deepwater Block 47
    Suriname Statoil has acquired a 30% participating interest in frontier deepwater Block 47 off Suriname from Tullow Oil PLC.
  • 11/17/2011 -- Indonesia: South Sumatra 3D seismic survey finished
    Cooper Energy Ltd., Perth, said it has completed shooting a 9.4 sq mile 3D seismic survey on the 4,000-acre Sukananti block in South Sumatra, Indonesia.
  • 11/17/2011 -- Salazar defends proposed 5-year OCS plan before House panel
    The US Department of the Interior proposed a 5-year Outer Continental Shelf program that concentrates on the central and western Gulf of Mexico after the 2010 Macondo well incident showed the oil and gas industry could not effectively handle a major incident and spill, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar told a US House committee on Nov. 16.

    Strategic Oil & Gas Ltd., Calgary, has completed its third successful Keg River well in the North Marlowe oil pool at Steen River, northwest Alberta, and plans to drill three more vertical Keg River wells in the first quarter of 2012.

    ExxonMobil Corp. will acquire a 70% interest in the production sharing contract governing Block LB-13 off Liberia following Canadian Overseas Petroleum Ltd.’s acquisition of a 100% interest from the current owner.
  • 11/16/2011 -- Tunisia: Nabeul permit 3D seismic survey completed
    Cooper Energy Ltd., Perth, expects to have processed data available from the high-resolution 3D seismic survey on its Nabeul permit in the Gulf of Hammamet off Tunisia available for interpretation in the third quarter of 2012.
