    PA Resources AB, Stockholm, has sampled light, sweet 34-35° gravity oil in shallow Miocene sandstone at the Lille John prospect in License 12/06 in the North Sea off Denmark and plans to sidetrack the well to a chalk target.

    Abu Dhabi National Energy Co. PJSC (TAQA) will invest $46.6 million (Can.) in WesternZagros Resources Ltd., Calgary, which holds two production sharing contracts with Iraq’s Kurdistan Regional Government. Closing is expected by the end of October.

    Rodinia Oil Corp., Calgary, has plugged and abandoned the Mulyawara-1 rank wildcat in the Officer basin in South Australia and said shows in the Neoproterozoic Murnaroo, Mundallio, and Emeroo sandstones demonstrate an active mature petroleum system capable of generating hydrocarbon.
