HOUSTON, Oct. 8 -- Lario Oil & Gas Co., Denver, completed an acquisition with an undisclosed partner of Bakken-prospective acreage in North Dakota, bringing its Bakken and Three Forks holdings to more than 250,000 gross and 49,182 net acres, most of it held by production, in North Dakota, Montana, and Saskatchewan.
Lario acquired 23,000 net acres in Little Knife field, Dunn and Stark counties, ND, from Rocky Mountain Exploration Inc., private Denver operator, retroactive to July 1.
Lario estimated its current Bakken and Three Forks production at 3,000 b/d net.
The acquisition includes interests in more than 36 Bakken and Three Forks wells, numerous proved undeveloped locations, and offsetting acreage. Output from the acquired interests is 100 boe/d.
Tracker Resource Development will operate the properties. Recent nearby discoveries include Tracker’s Wing 15-1H well in Little Knife field, with a 24-hr peak rate of 1,643 boe/d, and Tracker’s Murphy 11-1H well in Murphy Creek field at 1,934 boe/d.
Lario also holds a large interest in the Niobrara light oil play in the Colorado Denver basin.
