HOUSTON, Aug. 2 -- Ultra Petroleum Corp., Houston, has named Sally Zinke as director, new ventures.
Zinke will head a team charged with finding new capital investment opportunities for the company that will generate similar returns as the Wyoming Lance and Pennsylvania Marcellus.
Zinke recently was director, exploration. She joined Ultra in 2000 in the geology and geophysical department. She has been instrumental in pioneering the growth of Pinedale and played an integral role in the company’s initial Marcellus exploration stages.
Meanwhile, Douglas Selvius has joined Ultra as director, exploration, to lead the company’s geological and geophysical efforts in Wyoming and Pennsylvania.
Selvius has 27 years’ experience. He most recently headed Gulf Coast and Offshore exploration for SM Energy Co., formerly St. Mary Land & Exploration Co., Denver.
