HOUSTON, Aug. 31
– Production from Kom Ombo Block 2 in southern Egypt is 700 b/d of 37° gravity sweet crude.

Sea Dragon Energy Inc., Calgary, which shares operation of the block with Dana Gas Egypt, said the companies are interpreting the 418 line-km Memphis seismic survey and are shooting a further 75 line-km in the unexplored NW basin.

The companies have ordered a second rig to accelerate workovers/completions and expect to start a well fracturing campaign with the arrival of frac equipment in October 2010.

The Al Baraka-5 well came on line at 300 b/d of oil from Six Hills E at 4,352-91 ft and is now making 130 b/d, and Al Baraka-7 was drilled, logged, cased, and completed in 12 days. It cut 28 ft of net pay in the Abu Ballas formation.
