Mitra Energy (Indonesia Sibaru) Ltd. plans to spud within a week the Mojo-1 exploratory well on the Sibaru Block in the eastern Java Sea off Indonesia.

HOUSTON, July 19 -- Mitra Energy (Indonesia Sibaru) Ltd. plans to spud within a week the Mojo-1 exploratory well on the Sibaru Block in the eastern Java Sea off Indonesia.

The Transocean Offshore Trident IX semisubmersible will drill the well 250 miles north of Denpasar, Bali. Mitra Energy didn’t give a water depth or projected depth for the well.

Mitra Energy has a 60% interest in the block, and Mubadala-Pearl Energy has 40%.
