HOUSTON, July 23
– Development drilling around two gas discoveries in Payette County, western Idaho, should begin in August and October 2010, respectively, said Paramax Resources Ltd., Calgary.

At the 30,000-acre Hamilton project, which takes in the Espino 1-2 and State 1-17 discoveries, drilling should begin around Aug. 1. The Williams Northwest gas pipeline crosses the project area. Five wells are to be drilled to 2,500 ft and completed at $750,000/well. After a gathering system is installed, gas production could start by the end of 2010.

Meanwhile, a seismic program is to start immediately on 6,000 acres at the Willow project area, anchored by the ML Investments 1-10 discovery, and drilling should begin in October.

The discovery well tested 4.5 MMcfd of sweet gas of high calorific value and 12 bbl/MMcf of condensate from 4,100 ft.
