HOUSTON, June 11 -- Lucas Energy Inc., Houston, is running five workover rigs in the Austin chalk-Eagle Ford trend area of the Texas Gulf Coast, one of which is drilling a new lateral in the Austin chalk formation.
Three of the rigs are reentering abandoned wells. The company plans to log and may test the Eagle Ford formation in at least three wells within the month.
Lucas Energy generally operates in Gonzales, Wilson, and Karnes counties.
