    McMoRan names president, chief executive officer

    McMoRan Exploration Co. named James R. Moffett to the additional role of president and chief executive officer following the retirement of Glenn A. Kleinert.

    HOUSTON, May 4     -- McMoRan Exploration Co. named James R. Moffett to the additional role of president and chief executive officer following the retirement of Glenn A. Kleinert.

    Moffett will continue as co-chairman of the company.
