HOUSTON, May 7
– Primeline Energy Holdings Inc. plans to drillstem test potential reservoir zones at the Lishui 35-3-1 exploration well on Block 25/34 in the East China Sea off China.

Prompting the DSTs are results from two log runs over the interval from 1,383 m to total depth at 2,886 m. Logs indicated one gross 60 m section of interbedded sandstone and mudstone with more than 20 m of combined potential hydrocarbon pay in two zones. The initial interpretation indicated the presence of gas in these zones, but a gas-water contact was not detected.

Primeline is conducting a formation evaluation logging program including vertical seismic profiling, reservoir characterization instrument-repeat formation tester, and sidewall coring before setting the 9-5/8-in. casing. Drillstem testing will begin 7-8 days after casing is set.

Lishui 35-3-1 is 15 km south of the Lishui 36-1 gas discovery.
