PA Resources appoints new president, CEO

The board of Stockholm-based PA Resources AB (PAR) has appointed Bo Askvik, the company’s executive vice-president, to the position of president and chief executive officer.

-- The board of Stockholm-based PA Resources AB (PAR) has appointed Bo Askvik, the company’s executive vice-president, to the position of president and chief executive officer. Askvik will succeed Ulrik Jansson, who will leave those positions at the company’s annual general meeting on May 18.

Askvik has worked within PAR for 3 years. He assumed the position of chief financial officer in September 2007 and has since been a member of the executive management team. In September 2009 he also was appointed to his current position of executive vice-president.

Askvik has extensive experience of international capital markets and served as chief executive officer of several listed companies including Sanitec Corp., SAPA AB, and Intrum Justitia AB. He also has experience in the petrochemical industry, where he took an active part in the merger of the petrochemical operations of Neste and Statoil to form Borealis.

PAR operates in Tunisia, the UK, Denmark, Greenland, the Netherlands, Equatorial Guinea, Congo (Brazzaville).
