HOUSTON, Mar. 3
– Junex Inc., Quebec City, plans to drill two exploration wells in 2010 on its 108,360-acre Lyster property 15 km from the St. Edouard-1A well in Quebec’s St. Lawrence Lowlands.

Junex plans to core and evaluate Ordovician Utica shale in an overthrust zone with Trenton-Black River, a secondary objective, to be topped at 1,800 m. Junex has 100% interest in Lyster, on which it has more than 200 line-km of seismic data.

Two older stratigraphic wells drilled near Lyster allow for the forecasting of a thickness of about 1,000 m in the Utica shale.
