HOUSTON, Mar. 8 -- G. Thomas Gamble has become chairman and Maston N. Cunningham chief executive officer of Tri-Valley Corp., Bakersfield, Calif., with the retirement of F. Lynn Blystone after 29 years of service.

Gamble owns and operates a vineyard and wine business in Napa Valley, Calif. He is a successful businessman and investor in a variety of enterprises with a major part of his portfolio in the petroleum and mineral exploration and production business in California and Alaska.

Cunningham had a 22-year career as an executive with Occidental Petroleum Corp. in the US, Pakistan, Peru, and his final post as president and general manager of Occidental of Ecuador before taking early retirement.
