HOUSTON, Feb. 11 -- Newfield Exploration Co., Houston, has named Lee K. Boothby to the additional role of chairman, effective upon his reelection at the company's annual stockholders' meeting on May 7. He currently serves as president and chief executive officer.

Boothby was named president in early 2009 (OGJ Online, Feb. 6, 2009). He was named chief executive officer and elected to Newfield's board in May 2009 (OGJ Online, May 22, 2009).
