  • 08/19/2010 -- Shell declares force majeure in Nigeria
    Royal Dutch Shell PLC, following attacks on its oil pipelines in the south of the country, declared force majeure on its August and September exports of Nigeria’s benchmark Bonny Light crude.
  • 08/18/2010 -- Pluto LNG investment decision unlikely this year
    Woodside Petroleum Ltd. virtually admitted its Pluto LNG expansion project will not reach a final investment decision this year as originally stated.
  • 08/17/2010 -- Ecopetrol signs Mustang to double oil line capacity
    Ecopetrol SA awarded Wood Group's Mustang a 2-year master service agreement to increase Colombia's oil and gas transmission capacity while also improving its safety.
  • 08/16/2010 -- Inpex mulls sale of Ichthys LNG development stake
    Inpex, the Japanese operator of the proposed Ichthys LNG development, is considering the sale of some of its stake in the project.
  • 08/13/2010 -- Gate terminal gets first long-term contract
    Denmark’s DONG Energy AS and Spain’s Iberdrola have signed a supply agreement for Iberdrola to deliver 35.3 bcf/year of natural gas as LNG to DONG at the Gate LNG terminal at Rotterdam.
  • 08/10/2010 -- Newfield repairs Malaysian crude export line
    Newfield Exploration Co. announced Aug. 9 the resumption of more than 20,000 b/d oil production from its East Belumut field, on Block PM 323 off Malaysia, following repairs to a damaged export pipeline.
  • 08/06/2010 -- TransCanada withdraws special permit request for expansion pipeline
    TransCanada has withdrawn its request to the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) for a special permit that would have allowed TransCanada to operate the proposed Keystone XL pipeline at a slightly higher pressure than US regulations for oil pipelines.
  • 08/03/2010 -- Uruguay awards first contract for LNG terminal
    Uruguay state oil company Administracion Nacional de Combustibles, Alcohol y Portland (ANCAP) has awarded Foster Wheeler AG’s global engineering and construction group an engineering contract for a new LNG receiving terminal to be built in Montevideo, in Uruguay’s Rio de la Plata region.
  • 08/02/2010 -- TransCanada closes Alaska Pipeline Project open season
    TransCanada Corp.’s Alaska Pipeline Project closed its initial open season July 30 after receiving bids from potential natural gas shippers.
  • 08/02/2010 -- Enbridge reports only sheen remains on Kalamazoo River
    Enbridge Inc. officials said only sheen remained on the Kalamazoo River following a pipeline leak near Marshall, Mich., where oil spilled from the 6B pipeline on Enbridge’s Lakehead system into a creek and entered the river.
