Pemex names refining, marketing head

Mexican President Felipe Calderon has appointed Miguel Tame as the new head of Pemex Refining, the refining and marketing unit of state-owned Petroleos Mexicanos.

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 28 -- Mexican President Felipe Calderon has appointed Miguel Tame as the new head of Pemex Refining, the refining and marketing unit of state-owned Petroleos Mexicanos.

Tame has a 35-year career with Pemex, including service as superintendent of refinery processes at Cadereyta, manager of refining production control, manager of refineries at Salamanca, Minatitlan, and Tula, and subdirector of production for Pemex Refining.
Mexico has six refineries, all operated by Pemex, with a total refining capacity of 1.528 million b/d.
