-- Brazil's private OGX Petroleo e Gas Participacoes SA identified an oil-bearing interval more than 130 m thick with 80 m of net pay in the Albian section in a well on the BM-C-41 block in the southern Campos basin off Brazil.

The carbonate reservoirs have porosity above 30% and excellent permeability in the 1-OGX-3-RJS well, the company said. The well is still drilling toward deeper objectives.

OGX holds a 100% working interest in the shallow-water block. The well is in 130 m of water 83 km off Rio de Janeiro state.
