HOUSTON, Nov. 6 – Questar Exploration & Production Co., Salt Lake City, is drilling a horizontal well to the H4 member of the Eocene Green River formation at 7,000 ft true vertical depth in Utah’s Uinta basin.

The Johnson Bottoms Unit well, in 22-7s-21e, Uintah County, began horizontal drilling on Nov. 3, said participant Pacific Energy & Mining Co., Reno, Nev. The unit has six permitted wells expected to cost $2.5 million/well.
