PARIS, Nov. 19 -- Olivier Gantois was appointed delegate general of French Union for Petroleum Industries (UFIP) trade group and will take office in January.

Gantois started his career in 1986 with what is now Royal Dutch Shell PLC. He had posts in a number of sectors, finishing in the UK as team leader for crude supplies and risk management of Shell's European refineries. He was seconded by Shell to UFIP in 2005 in charge of logistics and distribution.
