Oxy of Oman appoints president, general manager

HOUSTON, Sept. 1
-- Occidental Petroleum Corp. reported the promotion of Isam al Zadjali to the position of president and general manager of Occidental of Oman.

An Oman national, al Zadjali succeeds Glenn Vangolen, who will relocate to Abu Dhabi as vice-president, international business development.

Al Zadjali joined Oxy in 2001 and has held a series of positions of increasing responsibility. He has served as deputy general manager of Oxy of Oman since 2006. He joined the company from the Oman Ministry of Oil and Gas.

Vangolen has held several positions in the US and the Middle East during his 28-year career with Oxy.
