LONDON, Sept. 23 -- BP Norge AS has let a well intervention services contract to Aker Solutions ASA focusing on its Valhall, Ula, and the future Skarv development, on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
The frame agreement is worth 35-40 million kroner and will last initially for 3 years, with two additional 1 year options.
Under the agreement Aker Solutions will provide mechanical wireline, wireline tractor, and production logging services, which will maintain and increase the production of oil and gas.
Ole Petter Thomesen, president of Aker Solutions' well service business unit, said Skarv was the largest ongoing field development project in Norway and is planned to come on stream in 2011.
Aker Solutions' contract party is Stavanger-based Aker Well Service AS.
