LONDON, June 12 -- PA Resources AB drilled a new production well on Didon field off Tunisia, which brings it a step closer to producing 11,000-14,000 b/d of oil this year.

The horizontal production well, Didon-10, was drilled by the Ensco 85 jack up rig and penetrated the El Gueria reservoir. “This was done in a cost-effective way through partly using an earlier drilled well. The well penetrated a 350 m-long horizontal section of premium reservoir,” the company said.

Including the new well, a total of five wells will be in production on Didon, which is solely operated by PA Resources.
