LOS ANGELES, May 18 -- Tri-Valley Corp, Bakersfield Calif., announced that Maston N. Cunningham has been elected president and chief operating officer and G. Thomas Gamble has been elected vice-chairman.

Cunningham, who held a succession of managerial posts with Occidental Oil & Gas Corp. for 21 years before taking early retirement in 2002, succeeds F. Lynn Blystone, who will remain chief executive officer and chairman.

Formerly Tri-Valley's vice-president of corporate development, Cunningham will manage the day to day operations of the parent corporation. The chief financial officer will report directly to Cunningham, as will the presidents of Tri-Valley's five subsidiaries.

The five subsidiaries include Tri-Valley Oil & Gas Co., Great Valley Production Services LLC, Great Valley Drilling Co. LLC, Select Resources Corp., and Tri-Valley Power Corp., which is inactive at the present time.

Gamble, who is Tri-Valley's largest individual shareholder and a major investor in its TVOG Opus I Drilling Partnership LP, has experience in starting and successfully operating several businesses in different industries.
