  • 09/15/2009 -- Gorgon awards EPCM contract to KBR JV
    Chevron Australia Pty. Ltd. has hired the Kellogg Joint Venture Group under a contract of about 2.7 billion (Aus.) to engineer, procure, and construction manage the LNG downstream and logistics portion of Gorgon LNG (OGJ Online, Sept. 14, 2009).
  • 09/15/2009 -- Enterprise enters long-term Eagle Ford shale agreement
    Enterprise Products Partners LP entered into a long-term agreement to provide natural gas transportation and processing services on dedicated acreage owned by one of the largest and most active producers developing the Eagle Ford shale.
  • 09/14/2009 -- Regency expands Haynesville takeaway capacity
    Regency Energy Partners LP, Alinda Capital Partners LLC, and GE Energy Financial Services announced plans to construct a $47 million pipeline extension of the Haynesville Expansion Project in North Louisiana to increase capacity on the Regency Intrastate Gas System.

    The giant Gorgon-Jansz-Io LNG and domestic gas project off Western Australia has been given a final investment green light by the joint venture partners Chevron Corp., ExxonMobil Corp., and Royal Dutch Shell PLC.
  • 09/11/2009 -- Gazprom launches new stretch of Kaliningrad gas line
    Russia’s state-owned natural gas monopoly OAO Gazprom, meeting the demand of the Russian government, has completed the construction of the second stretch of the 139-km Minsk-Vilnius-Kaunas-Kaliningrad gas pipeline.
  • 09/10/2009 -- ETP adds to booked Tiger Pipeline capacity
    Energy Transfer Partners LP has entered into a 10-year contract with a shipper to transport 300 MMcfd of natural gas on its Tiger Pipeline system, bringing total capacity commitments on the proposed line to not less than 1.8 bcfd.

    Chevron Australia has signed agreements with three buyers for a total of 3 million tonnes/year of LNG supplied from its share of the Gorgon-Jansz project off Western Australia.

    Russia's state-owned pipeline monopoly OAO Transneft has acquired an oil terminal under construction in the Russian Baltic Sea port of Ust Luga from Gunvor International BV.

    Another megatrain of LNG production has begun service.
  • 09/09/2009 -- FERC expects Alaska gas line applications in 2010
    The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission expects to receive open season applications in 2010 from both groups proposing construction of a natural gas pipeline from Alaska’s North Slope to the Lower 48 states.
