PARIS, Oct. 24 -- GDF Suez, in line with its merger commitments to the European Commission as well as European Union unbundling developments, is convening an extraordinary general assembly for shareholders Dec. 17 to submit a proposal to turn its LNG terminals and natural gas storage facilities in France into subsidiaries.

Third party access is already available to both terminals and storage facilities. The new subsidiary status will be the same as for GRTgaz—the gas transport division established in 2005.
