HOUSTON, July 15-- Index Oil & Gas Inc. appointed Ronald Bain as chief operating officer effective July 1. Bain joined the company as senior vice-president of exploration and production on Feb. 1.
He has over 34 years experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Index, he served as corporate exploration advisor and vice-president of geosciences at Endeavour International Corp.
During 1983-2001, Bain worked with Anadarko Petroleum Corp. He held numerous management positions in technology and exploration, both in the US and as manager of international exploration.
