HOUSTON, July 11-- The American Chemistry Council selected Cal Dooley as president and chief executive officer effective Sept. 8. He currently serves as the president and chief executive officer of the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA).
Dooley has led GMA since it merged with the Food Products Association (FPA) in January 2007 and was president and chief executive officer of FPA for 2 years before the merger. Prior to that, he served seven terms as a member of Congress from the San Joaquin Valley area of California.
