LONDON, Jan. 25 -- StatoilHydro AS has launched an internal investigation after a fire broke out in a coupling flange at its 186,000 b/d Mongstad, Norway, refinery on Jan. 23.
The fire was extinguished and the refinery is now operating at about 75% of its capacity, a company spokesman told OGJ. "We hope it will be back at full capacity some time next week. It's a bit early to say what the damage was and the cause of the fire hasn't yet been identified."
No personnel were injured during the fire and StatoilHydro has informed the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway about the incident.
Mongstad is near the city of Bergen on the North Sea coast.
